Leadership Team Member: Sue Wynsma

Care Team

• Responsibilities: Members of the Care team meet monthly at church to discuss the needs of individuals and families in our church. This team does a variety of things including organizing meals, sending cards, visiting those who are homebound or in the hospital, bringing communion to those who are unable to attend Sunday services and visiting moms with new babies. The Care team also organizes 2 luncheons each year one at Christmas time and one in the spring to honor our senior saints!  This is a great group of people who have a heart for serving those encountering difficulties and who need some extra loving care! Join the team at our monthly meetings or if that is not possible offer to make a meal once in a while, or send a card. We’d love to have you on the team.

Hospitality Team

• Responsibilities:  Members of the Hospitality team organize all church functions like pot lucks, picnics and receptions for various events. This is a perfect team to join if you enjoy planning an event or helping in the kitchen. Currently the team does not have specific meeting times. Communication amongst the team is done via email and when schedules allow committee members volunteer to help with specific events. This is a fun group of people and a great team to join to if you’d like to get to know people in the church better.

Coffee Makers

• Responsibilities:  Coffee is available after the service prior to the start of Sunday school.  We need volunteers to make coffee each week. Volunteers are given instruction on coffee making procedures. This is a great place to serve if you have limited time available during the week.

Shawl Team

• Responsibilities: If you like to knit this group is for you!! Each week a group of women meet at church to knit shawls and lap robes for individuals who are experiencing a difficult time due to illness, stressful life circumstances, loss of a family member etc. This team prays for each person who receives a shawl and provides a card to each shawl recipient explaining the shawl ministry and its mission. This is a great place to learn to knit if you’ve always wanted to know how!

Funeral Reception Team

• Responsibilities:  With the support of the Hospitality committee and the Care team this group organizes receptions at the family’s request following funerals or memorial services.
