A YEAR LONG STUDY OF ROMANS

CERTAIN ABOUT NOTHING

Dear Church,

Sometimes I feel like I am certain about nothing. The older I get, the more I realize how much I don’t know. Life is complicated and I can sometimes feel like I am not certain in any given situation. It can sometimes feel like every situation is against us! However, God’s word has something to say to us about all of this! The early church felt the same way, and Paul has a much different way of looking about this certainty of nothing…

Paul clearly says in Romans 8 that he is certain about nothing! Neither life nor death, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation—NOTHING…will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Of this, dear church, we can be absolutely certain! I can’t wait to worship with you on Sunday.

Peace,
Pastor Jeff
