SERMON SERIES

A YEAR LONG STUDY OF ROMANS

Dear Church,

As we continue in our Eastertide season as people of the resurrection, we begin a new section of the book of Romans. After all that Paul has said in the first 11 chapters, he now comes to the place in the letter that explores the question, “Now how shall we live as people under God’s mercy?” How ought we to be in light of God’s promises to us that are “Yes!” and “Amen” in our resurrected Lord? It begins with worship! And worship is where we will be together this Sunday! I cannot wait to worship with you.

Peace,
Pastor Jeff

GOD’S KINGDOM BUILDING IN BELGIUM

Our partners in Belgium—Julius and Heleen—are pursuing an exciting opportunity that will meet several needs in their community and accelerate the growth of their recent church  plant. They are fundraising to purchase a very impressive building with varied spaces that would meet multiple needs. The building offers a venue for their Transformation Church, and unique spaces for setting up a revenue-generating coffee shop, preschool daycare, and gap-year work for young people. This amazing building also has residential space for meeting the many unique needs of Ukrainian refugees.

With a modest down payment of $109,000 by the middle of May, they will be able to secure this spectacular multi-function building. Julius and Heleen are also fundraising for longer-term monthly support toward the total purchase price. Read more here.

Glen Ellyn Covenant Church has committed support via the Missions Opportunity Fund. And we plan to collect a Love Offering on the first Sunday in May in support of their building purchase. Join us in person or online on Sunday, May 4 to hear more about this tremendous opportunity for Julius and Heleen and their Kingdom Building service in Belgium.
