Dear Church,
This week we will continue to look at what it means to be free in Christ. Paul offers a picture of freedom that stands in stark difference from the way the world defines freedom. Paul calls us to see our freedom as an obligation to our brother and sister, and so contribute to the kingdom of God, which is a matter of peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. I cannot wait to worship with you on Sunday!

A NOTE FROM YOUR FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT TEAM
Okay, you can take the summer off from school.
You can take a bit of time off your job this summer for vacation.
If you are traveling, you may even take some time off from in-person
attendance at Glen Ellyn Evangelical Covenant Church.
But please, don’t let your financial support for our church ‘take a vacation’.
We need you.
Each year donations are slow at the beginning of the year. While giving through the first five months of 2025 is slightly ahead (4.9%) of last year, we are around
$100 thousand short of budgeted giving!
So please enjoy some summertime sunshine, have a lemonade,
say a prayer of thanks, and give.

Students, the Pasta-Zin Fundraiser is fast approaching and we need YOU to help prepare this amazing meal! We will gather in the GE Cov kitchen on Saturday morning to prepare the famous pasta sauce for our church family. Remember, this fundraiser will benefit Student Ministries. Your work to prepare this meal is a “thank you” to those who will be supporting your Youth Group through their prayers and donations.

You’ll enjoy wonderful food and fellowship, with the opportunity to support Student Ministries through your prayers and donations.

for parents of nursery thru 5th grade:
Parents, you have 3 options to complete the registration form:
1) Please refer to a recent informational email from our Interim Director of Children’s Ministry, Andy Barg. He made it easy by providing a link to the registration in that email.
2) You can access the registration form by going on our gecovenant website: go to “Ministries”, choose “Children’s Ministries” and then click on “New Family registration”.
3) You can go ‘old school’ and grab a hard copy of the registration form located on the Children’s Ministry Welcome desk.

PORCH TIME WITH PASTOR DAWN
Three times this summer, the women of our church will have an opportunity to
gather at Pastor Dawn’s home for Bible reading, prayer, and fellowship.
Our next gathering:
Come either Monday July 14 at 7pm or Tuesday July 15 at 10am.
Both gatherings are at Pastor Dawn’s home.
We will read and discuss passages about unnamed women of the gospels, women who played a pivotal role in Jesus’ ministry and the advancement of the gospel.
