SHARE YOUR STORY OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
THROUGH GE COVENANT CHURCH
2026 marks our church’s 80th anniversary! As part of our ongoing praise and celebration of what God has done and is doing through the ministries of our church, we are asking for folks to share stories of God’s faithfulness through the Glen Ellyn Evangelical Covenant Church. Do you have a story you would share with our congregation?
I bet our church is FULL of these stories of God’s faithfulness, and we want to hear them! There are a few ways you can share YOUR story of God’s faithfulness:
You can submit a story in writing that we can share via the newsletter.
You can read your story on a Sunday morning.
You can also video yourself telling your story and we will show it either on our Youtube channel or on a Sunday Morning!
Celebrate God’s faithfulness by telling your story! If you need help with sharing your story, please contact Carol in the office and we will help you choose how to share! We can’t wait to hear from you!

FRIENDSGIVING
MONDAY NOVEMBER 9
6:30-8:30
As the days grow shorter and the Thanksgiving season approaches, you're invited to a special evening of friendship, gratitude, and community at Friendsgiving! On Monday, November 9 from 6:30-8:30 pm, we'll share delicious treats, warm beverages, a fun and creative activity (no artistic skills required!), and the opportunity to relax, connect, and enjoy one another's company.
This year, we're also partnering with Outreach Ministries' Christmas Store, a program that helps families in our community shop for Christmas gifts for their children with dignity and care. If you'd like, you can participate by purchasing an item from one of Outreach's gift wish lists (Amazon, Walmart, or Target) and have it shipped directly to Outreach.
Whether you come for the fellowship, the treats, the creativity, or the opportunity to give, we'd be delighted to have you join us.
If you have any questions, simply reply to this email or call the church office at 630-469-5405.
With gratitude,
Pastor Dawn
THANKSFEEDING
FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN
sign up today!
Mark your calendars for this special event at GEECC!
We celebrate Thanksgiving by gathering with family and friends around a feast. We feast but many children around the world lack the food basics to sustain and develop their bodies. We are inviting you to include a few hours in your Thanksgiving celebration to provide meals to children in need. We are partnering with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) to pack food over four two-hour sessions
on November 20 and 21.
We are calling this event ThanksFEEDing.
Sign-ups are open for our GE Cov church family!
You can access sign-ups online by going on our GEECC website here: https://www.gecovenant.org/thanksfeeding-fmsc
and use the password: geecc
Reserve your preferred date and time early, and feel free to sign up on your own,
with friends, or as a family. However you come, you'll be glad you did!

A CHRISTIAN RESPONSE TO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
THURSDAYS
7:30 to 8:30 on Zoom
Join us! We welcome new members! In October we are reading Pope Leo’s Encyclical on understanding humanity and artificial intelligence from a Biblical perspective of avoiding a “Tower of Babel” mentality and instead following the model of Nehemiah and his community building the wall of Jerusalem together. One special quote: “Technology in and of itself is not a solution to humanity’s problems, just as it is not inherently evil. In practice, however, technology is never neutral, because it takes on the characteristics of those who devise, finance, regulate and use it.”
Contact Mary Crickmore or the church office if you’d like to participate.
WINDSOR LUNCH WITH PASTORS

Lunch with our friends at Windsor is always enjoyable!

to eat lunch and fellowship.
