Our Year End Financial Needs
Preparing the budget for the coming year is one of the greatest challenges the Leadership Team and Financial Management Team face each year. The exercise feels like pitting faith against prudence. We trust the budget we pray over each year reflects God’s plans for our missional activities. We are just two weeks away from the close of our fiscal year and are currently behind our expected full year’s expenses by $212,000. Please prayerfully consider how you might help close this gap.

The Winter Retreat Theme: Belonging. This year Covenant Harbor is focusing on what it means to belong to Jesus. In John 1:35–51 and Matthew 9:9–13, Jesus calls His disciples and shows that we are created to be known, loved, and welcomed by Him. In John 4:4–26 and Psalm 139, we see that He knows us completely and still loves us fully. His love then sends us out to love and serve others (Matthew 28:18–20; John 21:15–19). And in Acts 2:42–47, we see this belonging lived out in real community.
This weekend is always a highlight of the year! Feel free to share this with other parents. Let me know if you have any questions!

PUTTING THE BOW ON THANKSFEEDING
Our Feed My Starving Children weekend was a perfect combination of the seasons of thankfulness and giving. It was yet another example of God’s goodness to us as we certainly received more than we gave…and we gave a lot! We gave the time and energy to pack our goal of 101,088 meals for hungry children in the world; we received inspiration, expanded community, feeling of purpose, and a time of enjoyment and fulfillment. Truly, Luke 6:38.
Thank you to all in our church family who prayed for the event and were able to participate in packing and providing hospitality for our guests. The FMSC organization has reported that 54,432 of the meals that we packed were shipped to Haiti to be distributed by an organization called Love A Child, a non-profit Christian humanitarian organization, serving the needs of children in Haiti through schools, feeding programs, an orphanage and medical outreach.
The remaining 46,656 meals have been shipped to Peru to be distributed by Cross Catholic Outreach, a ministry that partners with bishops, priests, religious and lay workers to provide food, water, housing, education, orphan support, medical care, microenterprise, disaster relief, and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ to the poorest of the poor in Peru and 29 other countries.

Volunteers are needed to help collect Grocery Care Packs for vulnerable families who have lost food support with no clear information about when it will resume. You, your family or a group of friends can provide urgently needed groceries and an encouraging visit accompanied by Exodus staff. Sign up here to help.
