God Did It Again!!!

He gives us these amazing opportunities to join with Him and with brothers and sisters in Christ. He calls us to surrender all to Him. He smiles when we do.
Through His faithful servants who went before us, God provided a beautiful property and church facility for us to use and share. Then it is our turn. He calls us to, and blesses us with, this thing we call “stewardship”. It is a chance to be a part of His work on earth. It is an opportunity to follow.
Someone once called churches “embassies of the Kingdom”. It was clear that the embassy at the corner of Hawthorne and Kenilworth needed a bit of work… a kinda expensive parking lot renovation. And isn’t amazing how God used the parking lot renovation to work on the really important part of the church in Glen Ellyn… our hearts! The need was apparent, the Spirit nudged and encouraged us, and God’s people responded. A number of you responded sacrificially. Thank you for praying. Thank you for listening. Thank you for giving.
Between pledges remaining to be paid and the donations already received, we will have $240,250 for our full parking lot renovation! PRAISE GOD!

Throughout the summer, we’ll usually be meeting every other week
at the homes of students in our youth group.
Fire Pits are super simple, low-key nights where we
hang out around a fire,
play games, roast marshmallows,
eat way too many s’mores,
and spend time together.
