YOUTH GROUP HAPPENINGS
NEXT Youth Group Firepits:
JUNE 11
7PM-8:30PM
Our next Firepit Gathering will be at the home of Pastor Dawn on Thursday June 11 at 7pm.
Throughout the summer, we’ll be meeting every other week at the homes of students in our youth group. Fire Pits are super simple, low-key nights where we hang out around a fire, play games, roast marshmallows, eat way too many s’mores, and spend time together.
Here is the link to see the summer schedule so far!

THE ARK PRESCHOOL’S 55TH ANNIVERSARY
This year, The Ark Preschool joyfully celebrates its 55th anniversary of ministry, learning, and loving service to children and families in our community.
Founded in 1971 as a ministry of Glen Ellyn Evangelical Covenant Church, The Ark began with a vision:
To provide a new area of outreach
To make fuller use of existing facilities
To serve the community by providing a quality preschool program.
What began with one class of twenty, four-year-olds has grown into a thriving preschool ministry with over 100 children currently enrolled. The Ark Preschool has served generations of children and families over the past five and a half decades. Through changing times, expanding programs, and countless joyful memories, The Ark has remained committed to nurturing the “whole child” — physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
Throughout the years, dedicated directors, teachers, church staff, and volunteers have shared their gifts, creativity, compassion, and unwavering faith to make The Ark a place where children feel safe, valued, and loved. Their impact continues to ripple through the lives of the many families who have walked through our doors.
Today, The Ark continues its mission, led by Holly Pelsor (in her 11th year as Director) with gratitude for the strong foundation built by those who came before us and excitement for the future ahead. We celebrate not only the history of the school, but also the lasting relationships, Christ-centered learning, and treasured traditions that have made The Ark so special for 55 years.
As we mark this milestone anniversary, we give thanks to God for His faithfulness, guidance, provision, and protection throughout every season of The Ark’s journey. We are deeply grateful for every teacher, student, family, church member, and friend who has been part of this story.
Here’s to 55 years of learning, laughter, faith, and community — and to many more years ahead for The Ark Preschool.
