SERMON SERIES: LIVING HOPE
THIS WEEKS SERMON: Be Holy Because God is Holy
Dear Church Family,
The letter of First Peter is a letter of hope and encouragement in the midst of suffering. It is an invitation to be a holy people — even in the midst of that suffering — because we have Jesus in our lives. It is a summons to live out our Christian faith as individuals and as a church, in such a way that people notice. This Sunday we will hear from God what it means to be a holy people with a living hope in the person of Jesus.
I hope to see you in church on Sunday. Stick around after worship for a time of fellowship and rest. That’s Fika!
Take care,
Pastor Dawn
PARKING LOT PROJECT
EXCITING UPDATE
Thank you all so much for your prayers and giving towards the parking lot project. We have raised $131,000 from donations and pledges through the month of May and the first few days of June. This puts our total at $201,000, which is $39,000 shy of our $240,000 goal. God has truly blessed our church through all of your support.
We are extremely close! As such, we've decided to keep accepting donations and pledges as they come in. Please pray that we would see this goal through. And if you feel led, please consider giving so we can reach this milestone.
Thank you all again. God is good!"

YOU WILL BE BLESSED AS YOU
BLESS YOUR CHURCH FAMILY
Please consider volunteering for the following ministries—each ministry represents an amazing team of ministry workers who will come alongside you:
CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES: please contact Ellisa Schauer to learn about how you can help guide and strengthen a child’s faith in the Lord this Summer. What a great opportunity to impact a childs life for Christ!
TECH TEAM: If you enjoy behind-the-scenes ministries, Tech Team is the answer! What a great way God can use you to help enhance worship for our in-church congregation and provide an avenue for those worshiping virtually. Please contact Drew Elliot for details.
COMMUNION SET-UP or SERVER: Looking for a way to serve your church family and be involved in a very special part of our worship here at GEECC? Join our communion team. We need help setting up communion before the worship service AND in serving communion to our church family. Please contact Pastor Dawn for details.

YOUTH GROUP HAPPENINGS
NEXT Youth Group Firepits:
JUNE 11
7PM-8:30PM
Our next Firepit Gathering will be at the home of Pastor Dawn on
Thursday June 11 at 7pm.
Throughout the summer, we’ll be meeting every other week at the homes of students in our youth group. Fire Pits are super simple, low-key nights where we hang out around a fire, play games, roast marshmallows, eat way too many s’mores,
and spend time together.
Here is the link to see the summer schedule so far!
